Duo seria is the intimate and intricate combination of historic plucked and bowed strings. Rosemary Hodgson, lute, and Victoria Watts, viola da gamba, met during their undergraduate study at Melbourne University. Since then their rich musical experience has given rise to this exciting new duo.

Playing music from the dance hall of Louis XIV, the privy chamber of Elizabeth I and the passionate danzas of the Iberian Peninsula, Duo Seria have recently performed in the Brighton Early music concert series, with Melbourne's newest vocal ensemble the Ring Singers and toured Tasmania with Backgammon Baroque.

Duo seria also perform with guest artists, including a vocalist, recorder or baroque flute.
