Rosemary began her tertiary music studies on the classical guitar at the Victorian College of the Arts, studying with Peter Lynch then transferred to the University of Melbourne to study early music and vihuela with Professor John Griffiths.

She undertook Post Graduate study in the UK and in July 2000 became the first vihuelist to graduate from the Royal College of Music London, with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Performance: Early Music specialist studying with Jakob Lindberg. In 2001-02, Rosemary was a research assistant to Professor John Griffiths, University of Melbourne, editing the Barbarino lute book.
